Le cabriolet ultrasportif d'Audi, l'R8 Spyder, reçoit le V8 4.2 FSI pour compléter l'offre jusqu'ici limitée au V10. Pas tout à fait comme dans le coupé R8 puisque le V8 est plus puissant de 10 chevaux.
